The control panel allows your users to move the chart forward and backward in time, zoom in and out on detail and contains a 'reset' button to go back to the default settings.

The printer icon opens the chart in its own window for printing.

You can also use the Scale labels to change the time period the chart displays.

You have a choice of 2 different locations for the Control Panel and you can also choose to hide it completely.

Category Header

By default the control Panel is shown at the top of the Category column. This makes the best use of the available space for most web parts.

Separate Toolbar

You can choose to display the Control Panel in a separate toolbar. If you are using a Classic planner style that doesn't have a Category column then this is the only choice. This is also the best choice for web parts that have limited width - or where you have set a small Category Width.
